Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Ironwood Development LLC, a Utah limited liability company, doing business as AskCash (“AskCash”, “we”). The service is the website at askcash.app, the sign-in flow, the bank connection, and the agent connection.

By using AskCash you agree to these terms, the privacy policy, the cancellation policy, the refund policy, and the use restrictions. If you do not agree, do not use it.

What AskCash is

AskCash lets you connect a bank and ask an agent you choose for a look at your own money. We fetch what that question needs. We are not a bank. We do not move money. We do not give investment, tax, or legal advice. Nothing in the product is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything.

Your account

You sign in with an email link. You are responsible for that inbox. You are responsible for the agent you connect, and for what it does with results we send it.

The account belongs to the person at that email. We do not offer team accounts. An agent may use the connection you authorize. An agent may not open an account on its own, and you may not connect someone else’s bank.

Signing out of the website ends the website session. It does not disconnect the agent. Disconnecting the agent does. Disconnecting a bank is a third step. Those are not the same control.

Bank data

You connect a bank through Plaid. You can disconnect it. We handle that data as the privacy policy describes. We do not store your transactions. We do not store Plaid transaction payloads or balances. A transaction id is not a stored transaction. Receipt notes and an encrypted category label may be saved when you set them, keyed to a transaction id. Those are not the transaction.

Pay

If a paid period is required, the price is shown before you pay. Currently the amounts are $5 a month and $55 a year. Checkout is Stripe’s page. We may change prices later. If we change the price for a period you already paid, we will say so by email before the next charge. We do not promise a grandfathered price.

Some accounts are not charged. The screen you see tells you if you need to pay.

Referrals

Signed-in AskCash may show a personal invite link. When a friend you invite completes a qualifying first paid subscription, you may receive a $5 account credit (or another amount we show in the product).

How it works:

  • Attribution is first-touch. Opening an invite link can set a referral cookie for about 30 days. A later invite does not replace a valid first-touch cookie.
  • The friend must be a new user whose email is verified for the first time under that attribution. You cannot refer yourself.
  • The credit qualifies when their first paid subscription invoice succeeds (the first create charge), not on renewals alone.
  • If they pay with the same card fingerprint as yours, we may reject the reward.
  • The credit is a Stripe customer balance applied toward future AskCash charges. It is not cash, not transferable, and not a refund of anything you already paid. See the refund policy.
  • Delete My Account forfeits unused and pending referral rewards and zeros any unused Stripe credit balance on that account. Cancel subscription alone does not forfeit referral credit. See the cancellation policy.
  • We may reject abuse. We may change or end the referral program; if we change it in a way that matters for rewards you already have pending, we will say so.

If you share AskCash publicly and recommend it (for example on social media, a blog, or a newsletter), say clearly and near that message that you may get account credit if someone subscribes through your link. Plain language next to the endorsement is what matters; labeling a link only as an “affiliate link” is often not enough for readers. This note points to FTC practice on material connections (16 CFR § 255.5 (2023); FTC Endorsement Guides FAQ (staff FAQ, June 2023)). It is not a claim that AskCash or any share is compliant.

Cancel, delete, and refunds

You can stop renewal in the product (Cancel subscription). Access lasts until the paid period ends. We do not refund. When you pay or cancel, the product says payments aren’t refundable and that you keep access through the period you paid for.

You can also Delete My Account, which closes the account. That is not the same as canceling subscription alone. See the cancellation policy and the refund policy.

Agents and the API

The agent connection is part of the service. Abuse of it, or use that hits our limits hard enough to hurt others, can be cut off. We will say so first unless the use is harming the service or someone else.

We are not liable for the agent you picked, or for a tool the agent runs outside AskCash.

Your notes

Receipt text and category labels you save stay yours. You give us a limited permission to store them and return them to you and to the agent you connected, so the product can work. We do not claim ownership of them.

We own the AskCash service, including its design and code. You do not get a right to copy the product or its brand.

Stopping the service

We may suspend or close an account that breaks the use restrictions. We may change or stop a feature. We do not promise that AskCash will run forever, and we do not promise an uptime level.

Liability

Choosing AskCash is your decision. Bank data can be wrong. An agent can misread a result. A connection can fail.

To the extent the law allows, AskCash is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost money, or decisions you make from a result the product or your agent showed you. This does not limit any liability the law says we cannot limit.
