AskCash is a hosted MCP connector for personal finance insights. You connect banks with Plaid (read-only). Your agent is the UI.

## Data
- Read-only via Plaid. AskCash never moves money.
- We never store your transactions (no Plaid transaction payloads or balances retained).
- Fetches happen when you or your agent ask.
- Receipt item text and an encrypted custom category may be stored keyed to a transaction id (user/agent notes — not the bank transaction payload).

## Connect flow (human)
1. Create an account (email magic link).
2. Connect your agent to https://askcash.app/mcp with OAuth.
3. Link a bank with Plaid when ready (paid period may be required).

Those tools are list_connected_items, disconnect_item, get_balances, get_transactions, and cash_snapshot.
cash_snapshot defaults to 7 days and cannot exceed 90 days.
AskCash fetches what you need and does not store my transactions.
If a bank needs reconnect, say so. Do not disconnect a bank unless I ask.

Note: the home copy-prompt currently lists a subset of tools. Server may also expose get_link_accounts_url, list_accounts, search_transactions, get_recurring_transactions, set_transaction_category, categorized_spending, save_receipt_items, list_receipt_items — use what tools/list returns.

## Limits
- cash_snapshot: default 7 days, maximum 90 days.
- Do not disconnect a bank unless the user asks.
- If a bank needs reconnect, say so.
